Bar Areas at Royal Dublin

 
There are two bars in Royal Dublin.

The Christy O'Connor Room is a haven for students of the game. While it is the Club's formal bar (jackets are required), it is adorned with the memorabilia of Christy O'Connor's remarkable life in professional golf. In particular, his ten Ryder Cup appearances are recorded with pictures of all the teams with whom - and against whom - he competed. All the greats of the time are there - Jack, Arnie, Tony Jacklin - and that doyen of golf commentary, Peter Allis, with whom Christy was partnered on many occasions.

The bar is exceptionally bright and spacious with a terrific view of the course. It has a delightful 'snug' at the front looking back towards Dublin port.

The Lumsden Room, named for the Club's founder, is the informal bar. Golf attire is acceptable and the atmosphere is positively sports-oriented. Comfortable and relaxed, it's an ideal spot for a post-round drink.

Drinks from the bars can always be ordered when dining.
